The network cable is indispensable for LAN's connection. The daily-used network cable mainly contains 3 kind : twisted-pair cable, coaxial cable and fiber cable.
For the Twist-Pair cable,it can be divided into UTP (Unshielded Twist Pair) and STP (Shielded Twist Pair). STP has additional shielding material, which can reduce external interferences during transmission. While for UTP, since there is no added protection ,the stability is inferior to the STP, however the price is cheaper than STP.
